Cross Recruiting

In today’s work at home article, I am going to dig deep into the mysterious world of cross recruiting. If you have not yet been exposed to cross recruiting, and have been involved in a work at home MLM or network marketing business of some sort, then you will sure feel this exposure to another MLM deal just as surely as the sun comes up in the morning. You will probably be asked, at some point, to join your powerful upline sponsor, in yet another money making work at home scheme. I have to ask myself if this is the right, or the wrong approach when building an online business? If your business is growing, and if you are making some good money, then why in the world would you take a chance, and lose that, just for the simple fact that your greed overtook your logic?

I am not sure if you are familiar with the term MLM junkie. This is a person who gets so wrapped up in pitching deals, that he or she really does not care whether they jeopardize their current standing with their work at home business. They are so totally over ridden by the pitch for the next latest and greatest deal, that they soon forget the good business plan that they have going. Most assuredly, I can only think that either greed, or hopeless addiction to the next gig, is driving their entire focus.

You, yes you faithful Google reader, have been reading my articles. I know this for a fact as I am tracking the hits of each of these of determine if I am doing a good job, getting visitors to my work at home site, and the people that are visiting are receiving some good information. I also know for a fact, that you, at some point, are going to fill out my contact form, or at the very least, are going to steal my content, and place it on your own site. Indeed, I feel that this is unethical, after all, I am making this person good money by my efforts. So I have to ask myself the burning question, why would they do this? Why would this person, who is making money from me, and my downline, try and pitch his latest and greatest money making scheme?

The very nature of MLM and network marketing is this approach to hop from one deal to the next. I have seen this many times, and over the last seven year period, every business that I have been involved in promoting, the same thing happens. This is old news to most of you who have been involved in some type of affiliate program. The grass always seems greener on the other side of the MLM fence. You take a person who is driven to cross recruit, will eventually fall prey to the corporate headquarters, and they will surely remove that person from the organization. I feel that this is poetic and well deserved justice. I have even been pitched on deals that were told would amplify my earnings. My upline has used this area of cross recruiting, and because of this, has been basically found out that they were not the legend of the networking business, that they perceived themselves to be within their own mind.

If you have stayed with this article long enough, you should be well aware that I do NOT condone cross recruiting of any kind. I am here to build my work at home TriVita business. I am here to write my work at home articles, and provide people with excellent information concerning working at home. I am NOT here to try to convince, coerce or sell anyone, on anything. I only offer benefits and solutions, and if you do not see the value here, then I say good luck in your current business. Who knows, this article about cross recruiting may even be found by my powerful upline sponsor. I really doubt it however, that this person believes in the old school network marketing approach of bringing in all your family and friends. This approach, in my mind, simply will not work, as you will soon find, those friends and family will do absolutely nothing to build your business. Most cross recruiters reall have an illness I believe, and should probably seek a new pill from another network marketing company that will solve their issues. They will probably have one of those in the very near fukture.

Who knows, I may even offer a cash reward if I find anyone pitching my downline on another great deal. I take great pride in the fact that my people, even though some are not seeing the kind of progress that they thought they would, at least are not getting pitched on another deal to join. I would never use this cross recruiting approach, as I certainly am no MLM junkie!

A podcast or non streamed webcast, is a series of digital media files (either audio or video) that are released episodically and often downloaded through web syndication. The word usurped webcast in common vernacular, due to rising popularity of the iPod and the innovation of web feeds.

The mode of delivery differentiates podcasting from other means of accessing media files over the Internet, such as direct download, or streamed webcasting. A list of all the audio or video files currently associated with a given series is maintained centrally on the distributor’s server as a web feed, and the listener or viewer employs special client application software known as a podcatcher that can access this web feed, check it for updates, and download any new files in the series. This process can be automated so that new files are downloaded automatically. Files are stored locally on the user’s computer or other device ready for offline use, giving simple and convenient access to episodic content. Commonly used audio file formats are Ogg Vorbis and MP3.

Academics at the Community, Journalism and Communication Research group at the University of Texas at Austin in the USA are proposing a four part definition of a podcast: A podcast is a digital audio or video file that is episodic, downloadable, program driven, mainly with a host and theme, and convenient, usually via an automated feed with computer software.

I use TalkShoeRadio as one of my podcasting services; however, I am not impressed with the content posting ability found there. Naturally, I want to have total control over my content, links and the way that they appear in my presentations.

Obviously, there are numerous ways to approach a work at home business. Article marketing, of course, is the one that I am drawn to. I enjoy writing keyword specific articles, and watching my articles rise to the top of high traffic keywords. People find this information out on the Internet, and often times, will choose to become interactive to some degree. Posting comments is an excellent way to know that your visitors find value in your words, and the ways that you are approaching a work at home business. In my experience in dealing with many people online, the thought of building a work at home business takes priority in their lives. This tells an important story. People are searching on Google, Yahoo, MSN, WindowsLive and the other major searches, for ways to increase their earnings, while enjoying a greater sense of accomplishment by working at home. There are ways to improve this art and science of work at home success. People starting businesses should be made fully aware that just having a site is really nothing. Forwarding domains to an affiliate site is not effective. You should be prepared to build your own marketing websites, and then promote those work at home business storefronts to the world of the Internet. Unless you are able to accomplish this, your chances of making sales, or putting people into your business will deal directly with your networking ability. In other words, you will have to go out and talk to others, get them to go to your website, and make your sales in that manner. For myself, I do not care for that way of doing business. I had much rather write, record podcasts, create YouTube videos and then have people find my information, and either fill out my contact forms, or simply call me on the phone.

It has been my experience that having a great site, a site that is marketable, offers benefits and solutions, and is highly interactive with the viewers, is the best option. Your website is your storefront on the search engines. The better, cleaner and crisper that site is, the better chance that you will have in getting people to notice your work at home business. Many people do not believe that they can create an appealing website. They will hire a professional web design firm to handle that for them. This approach is ok, but its very important to realize that the web designer holds total control of the content of the site. This is not a positive thing, as most web designers that I have known, and worked closely with, think that they know all there is to know about marketing online. This is a great fallacy. Almost all web design professionals can indeed, build a great looking site, but as far as the source code, and arranging proper titles, metatags and keywords, they will fall miserably short of the intended goal. So, what does this mean for your business? It simply means that unless you learn to create a positive backend source code for the search engine spiders to find, read and then place in high traffic keyword areas, you own nothing but a piece of digital trash.
